DME Updated Registration From
2011
The DME
Update will run all day Saturday and until lunchtime on Sunday. It will
incorporate the SAUHMA AGM probably after proceedings on Sunday.
Subject
matter to be covered includes:

The new Diving
Regulations, 2009
·
The new Codes of
Practice published under the regulations
·
The new duties and
responsibilities of DMOs
·
New designations
from the DOL
·
The new SAUHMA
diving fitness databank
·
Some clinical
conditions: Respiratory, especially Asthma,
Diabetes,
·
Cardiovascular,
Neurological
·
Review of
performing the diving medical examination – which examinations should be done
·
Occupational
Medicine Principles (now a hot topic internationally)
It will be
accredited as an official update DME Course with the Department of Labour and
CPD points will also be applied
for. |
